We launched the 25 in 25 Campaign in January to try to increase the number of regular donors to the work of Bethesda. Only about a quarter of our income comes from this source and we have relied on a small number of large gifts to fund the work. This is obviously precarious hence the 25 in 25 campaign to get 25 new regular donors in 2025. As of 19th August, we are almost half way there with 12 new regular donors. Details are in the form below. Do help us if you can either by completing the form and sending it to us or hitting the donate button at the bottom of the page.

Incidences of children with malnutrition are very common. Our team have just been trained in a technique called Farming God's Way. After a trial on our own land, we hope to broaden the work to help families set up kitchen gardens and keep livestock in addition to our exisiing nutrition education.
The network of facilitators in each group of villages which was set up at the start of 2024 has been very successful at providing continuity of care and coordinating visits from the team. Two more joined recently - see below. We have just had to double their monthly allowance due to the very high rate of inflation in the country.
Pray for the preparation of a visit from the UK planned for November 2025. . We are hoping to introduce a partner during the visit with expertise in setting up and running rural clinics in Africa.

To give an idea of the types of issues the team come across, here are the statistics for just one month - October 2024. It shows the huge range of challenges faced in the six villages they were able to visit.
Helping those who are suffering is just one part of the work. Teaching about the benefits of inclusion, the rights of children and disabled people and helping families towards self-sufficiency are, perhaps, even more important in the long term.
We pray that all might see the love of God for all children, women and men.
Facilitators are key to organising work effectively in the villages surrounding Muyinga. In June 2025, we added two new faciliators covering villages where there were previously none. Here they are with their Bethesda uniforms and umbrellas together with bicycles which were generously paid for by donations from supporters in the UK.
